When Life Hands You Lemons

What should you do if your novel receives bad reviews?

A) Nothing. Critics are stupid, jealous, and uneducated. What do they know about brilliant writing, anyway?

B) Flame the reviewers on Amazon, and then threaten them with lawsuits if they blog about your reaction.

C) Commit seppuku (ritual suicide). Your career is over.

D) Create a video that celebrates the universal hatred of your novel with family and friends. Post it on YouTube for all the world to share.

I know this is my post, but I wanted to say I think Brad Meltzer has a lot of class, and anyone who can twist bad reviews around like this has to write interesting books. I'm reading this one. :-)

Ha! That's the way to do it. Put it out there, poke fun at it, expose it and don't give anyone anywhere to go with it.

Aside from that ... now I'm curious. Interesting strategy!

I love it! I'll bet he had a blast putting it together, too.
