Today is "do" day

Have you ever been posting on a certain day and wonder what you were doing one year ago, two, five, twenty? Sometimes I do. Like here On that day I was trying to pave a path .

And then I remember that what has gone before has very little significance if I haven't moved forward. If I haven't learned something from the past.

One of my all-time favorite one-liners is,

"Do, or do not. There is no 'try." -- Jedi Master Yoda

And what do you think that means for you? For me it means to quit "trying" to write a book that will sell millions and just write. It means if you haven't learned to enjoy the process, why are you still doing it?

Sometimes things are meant to be for our enjoyment as well as our gain. For me, writing is like that. Sort of therapy for the weary mind of me. I can get lost in a book by reading, or writing, or dreaming. So why not?

I hope today, you go out and find your "do" place. Don't think about it. Do it. Not a TRY in the whole day. I hope you find what you seek from the experience too. Don't forget to enjoy the learning of it.

Yay, Yoda! *G*

Thank you, Kim - I'm motivated now, to "do" my work so I can get to the writing. :-)

(and yep, I meant to put "do" in quotes like that... LOL)

Love this, Kim! Yes! Forget about that lame word, "try!" It's just an excuse ahead of time for not really doing something!
