What do you LIKE to read on Murder by 4?

Welcome Murderers! Happy Spring and all that jazz...I have been very busy lately writing a non-fic(I know, right?) and posting gobs of long posts on my blog. I felt like my readers didn't really know me that well, so lately my posts have been a lot more personal. You can go on over there and check them out at my website, Kim Smith, author.

I have discussed making more money, getting more traffic, and writing goals.

If that ain't your bag, and you are truly a murderer of the highest order, well, you are on the right blog now.

I am also about to release book two of the Shannon Wallace mysteries. I haven't announced the name of book two just yet, considering writing up a contest or something. The cover art is about half-way finished and I should have final edits back by April 22. So, our hope is that book two is out by May 8, exactly three months or 90 days from book one.

You can get book one here:

My question for you guys today is this: what do you LIKE to read about when you come to MB4? I know, sometimes it's a fluke. You just love whatever we have, right? But...if you got to CHOOSE...what would you like to read? Do you want more murderous stories? More romance? More information for budding authors? We just got our shiny new award from Writer's Digest for 101 Best Sites and we want to keep those babies coming--so your input is valued.

Well, not much news from the news bag these days...but I will be back with something soon!

Post Christmas blues

What can we do on the Thursday after Christmas besides shop? READ! We can dive into those books we got as gifts, or those we have on our Ereaders that haven't been touched yet.

For those of you bored out of your mind now that the festivities are over...here's a little fun for you...post your answer in the comments.

Grab a book
Turn to page 26 (it is the 26th right?)
and give us the twelfth line (or the 12th and 13th since this is the 12th month and the 13th year of the 2000s)

Here is mine:
From The Well of Ascension by Brandon Sanderson
"If not for the form's persistence, she could have dismissed it--like the shape of an animal seen briefly in the clouds."

This is a great book for anyone who hasn't read it...and I hope to read the entire Mistborn series because I am enjoying it a lot.

Okay, happy Thursday y'all, give us your lines and list the book, too, so we can find out what it comes from...I am about to hop off here and try to get some more reading done!

Thanksgiving then and now

I was going over my list of things I am thankful for, and one of the top most often prayed over is this site. I love this site and am so thankful for it and the great friendships it has brought. Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on all those things that you received from the hands of others, and all the ways life has been a blessing to you. As you ponder, don't forget the Cyber Pals you have gained.

When I chose Thursdays as my day to post, I never anticipated being the "turkey" for this time of the year. But there ya have it. I get the Thanksgiving post.

I have celebrated a lot of stuff over the years, like this post (click to read) Thanksgiving 2008 and it has been like a kickoff to the year to come.

I wouldn't have it any other way.

Soon, I will be bringing you a new book, (Click for more info) Loran Rudder and the Secret Key is on its final round, and over the last few days has even gotten a cover. (no, I am not revealing yet!) -- so that is something to look forward to in the weeks to come.

I will do this time as I did back in 2008- and bring you tidbits and tasties about the making of the book over the next few weeks. SO don't eat too much this holiday--save room for dessert!

God bless you and keep you.

Happy Thanksgiving -Murderers!

Remember this?

This is an oldie but goodie, http://murderby4.blogspot.com/2008/04/do-ya-feel-me.html from back in 2008. I thought it would be fun to grab some old stuff and see what has changed.

Well, apparently a LOT.

I do not have that job anymore. I now scan docs for a living. All day long, but it is totally mindless. While my scanner hums along, I dream up stories. I also have endless time to listen to Youtube videos and podcasts. Oh, my my. I have learned so much!!!

Why don't you go out and pull up an old post on your personal blog, Murderers. See what has changed, and what still remains the same.

Your publishing world will be one major changed thing, I will warrant.

Happy Thursday, go out and kill something. On paper, of course!
