Today, it's our pleasure to introduce the newest contributing author here at Murder By 4, Ron Adams.
Let there be no doubt about it, Ron Adams loves a good story. Growing up around an extended family, he learned to appreciate the stories told by his great grandfather of “the old days” in Boston, of the family histories related by his grandparents, by his aunts, uncles and parents. And then there was the assortment of characters that always seemed to be around his parents’ home. Priests, cops, bar owners, bikers, Marines, cross country hitchhiking cousins, and even international animal rescue workers, all provided their own unique stories and a base for his imagination.
Based on a lifetime of colorful individuals and a love of the mystery and crime fiction genre, he published his first novel, Lake Effect, in 2003. He is active in several online writing communities, and has written several short stories, as well as article on topics from rehabilitation to fitness and health to poker basics
Born and raised in Randolph, Massachusetts, Ron Adams graduated from Daemen College in Amherst, New York in 1983. He has called Buffalo and the western New York area home for over twenty five years. Currently he lives in Hamburg, New York with his wife, Trish, and two children.
Ron’s detective mystery, KEY LIME SQUEEZE e-book was released in November 2010, the trade back will be out in June 2011.
Ron will post on Tuesdays and replaces our dear friend, Sonya Bateman. We wish Sonya the very best as she pursues what is certain to be a very exciting writing career.
Other News at Murder By 4:
The first Saturday of each month will be dedicated to, "Author of Month." In February we'll kick things off with a tribute to the late, Robert B. Parker, author of the Spenser for Hire and Jesse Stone series.
The second Monday of the month will bring you Sample Writing Crit Day. How’s this going to work? First, sharpen your prose of 150 to 200 words and send it to Aaron Lazar by the first of each month. The Murder By 4 team will choose one entry to post along with our constructive comments and suggestions. Once posted, readers will be able to offer their comments too! Sample Writing Crit Day comments will be monitored to ensure all suggestions are helpful and constructive.
Four times a year, we plan to bring to readers and writers contests in which to participate. See "Submissions" for more details about this month's contest. Our monthly schedule is now available at a glance by clicking on the tab, "This Month at MB4."

Welcome aboard, Ron! It looks like we have a lot in common. We both started out in Massachusetts, and we both are now hardened upstate New Yorkers! Not to mention our passion for a good mystery... so glad to have you here!
