But I still LOVE my current publisher and am totally up front with her when I do this. She's behind me 100%.

Because it takes a long time to get one book out, and because I already publish about two per year (or will in the future with my two new series), I thought it might be good to try for another pub. for some of the more "out there" titles. Also, if your current pub doesn't accept all genres, sometimes it's a necessity! Never a bad idea to troll the waters, anyhoo. ;o)Aaron Paul Lazarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06117814221437165664noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6001825743960552008.post-64068228407500187992010-07-22T09:38:59.051-04:002010-07-22T09:38:59.051-04:00Thanks for sharing great information and your pers...Thanks for sharing great information and your personal take on synopsis writing. I hate 'em. Question (for you and Aaron):
Are you two querying the publishers of your previous work...or are you both branching off into new waters?Ricky Bushhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15861574330175082978noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6001825743960552008.post-3177269414343334312010-07-22T07:16:20.475-04:002010-07-22T07:16:20.475-04:00This book is a winner. Writing the query letter and synopses (or back cover blurbs, for that matter) are harder than writing twenty chapters. Really. It's so important to get the essence of your story in a short, snappy few sentences, and that is the ultimate challenge. I just got through doing the back cover blurb for Healey's Cave (coming out in August) and I think I'm finally getting the hang of it. I'll post it soon to see what you guys think.

Good luck!!Aaron Paul Lazarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06117814221437165664noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6001825743960552008.post-12298736745765685652010-07-21T14:19:42.950-04:002010-07-21T14:19:42.950-04:00Well, what can I say?
