They are just so darn convenient! But that doesn't mean my TBR stacks are getting smaller.

I plan to read much more again, now that the elections have been decided -- well, most of them!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6001825743960552008.post-47156339762313934162008-11-20T12:53:00.000-05:002008-11-20T12:53:00.000-05:00I'm worried that my life is in jeopardy again - my...I'm worried that my life is in jeopardy again - my to-be-read pile is growing enormous. Usually when the stack becomes a toppling tower, I take the bottom half and shelve them. Of course, now I have all these shelved books I want to read. I'm with Martha, gonna ask for more hours in the day from Santa! Every room of the house, plus the car. :-) Back in the summer, we went to a library sale thinking "oh, we'll just pick up a couple of new books..."

We ended up bringing home six big boxes of books, an entire encyclopedia set, and a box of National Geographic magazines. My husband had to leave me at the library and drive the books home, then come back and pick me up!

I'm happy to say that even my son reads. At the moment he's reading a novel based on his favorite online roleplaying game, the last book in the Artemis Fowl series, and Marta's first novel (Silenced Cry).

Hooray for books!s.w. vaughnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09102544611773720262noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6001825743960552008.post-85578198597299530552008-11-20T12:26:00.000-05:002008-11-20T12:26:00.000-05:00I'd read all the time if I could get away with...I'd read all the time if I could get away with it. Nothing like a good book, a cup of hot chocolate, & my favourite throw. Curled up on the chesterfield, with a fire roaring in the fireplace, ah, now that's the life.

I should probably confess that I buy most of my books at garage sales. I love the feel of a new book, but my pocket book declines to share that enthusiasm. There's just nothing better than to curl up with a good book you can put down. :)But these days, there's never enough time to do it all, and when deadlines loom, we answer the call.

I'm askig Santa for a few more hours in the day this year. :)Marta Stephenshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14126647102399666578noreply@blogger.com
